IBBY Italia’s candidate for the Hans Christian Andersen Award and the Astrid Lindgren Memorial Award, Roberto Piumini is one of the leading Italian writers for children, with a large production ranging from poetry to fiction, translated in many languages worldwide. Thanks to his vast experience in theatre and music, he works not only with the written word, but also with the spoken word, and has always been convinced that we can lead a great revolution through literature and stories. IBBY Italia is honoured to have him as President of the Scientific Committee of 2024 IBBY Congress.
