TCC – Trieste Convention Center is conveniently located between Italy, North Eastern Europe and the CEI – Central European Initiative countries (Albania, Austria, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Poland, CzechRepublic, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Ukraine, Hungary).
The Convention Center is located by the sea, in the Old Port of Trieste, an area of more than 600.000 m2 in the city center which is now undergoing complete requalification. The Old Port was designed at the end of the 19°century, when the Austro-Hungarian empire decided to create a logistical hub with hangars, pavilions and piers that could meet the needs of the flourishing international trades in Trieste.
In 2018 considerable restoration works brought to new life the two pavilions historically known as “Magazzino 27” and “Magazzino 28” that now host the Trieste Convention Center 5000 square metres of congress areas, with a 1,856-seat Auditorium and 5 smaller halls, in addition to 5000 square metres of exhibition space, in full compliance with Covid safety regulations.
TCC is equipped with wheelchair ramps in both pavilions as well as a ramp to access the stage. Lifts are available to access the transparent bridge that connects the two pavilions.
